My favorite Mexican candies from childhood
Iâm Olga, founder of Rustitoâs Dulces, and candy crazed for all things that are fruity, sweet and savory! My love of this unique sweet/savory combination is what sparked a passion in me to build our online candy shop. Growing up, some of my most fondest memories were walking down to the corner store in hopes that I would find a full stock of MazapĂĄn waiting for me! I was so fortunate and proud to grow up in a highly populated Mexican American community where the local family-owned shops and businesses all knew me by name!

Still to this date I love biting into a soft and chewy MazapĂĄn, along with all my tamarindo, mango and sandia favs. Don’t even get me started on the unforgettable explosion of flavor you experience the first time you bite into Dulces Enchilados! Mexican candy has so many different layers of flavors from salty, to sweet to chili and beyond. Its making my mouth water as we speak!
Rustito's Dulces was born, and we're just getting started!
I am so blessed to have my husband who works alongside me, and he is equally obsessed with all the tasty Dulces Enchilados and Mexican Candies we offer. We both love to travel, but throughout our journeys we realized how unfortunate it was to find that a major population of the United States and Canada didn’t have access to all the mouthwatering Mexican candies from my childhood. So, in 2022 Rustito’s Dulces was born (the decision was made on a road trip through Arizona!). Craving a savory, sweet, spicy treat?
